National Community Survey Information

2023 Survey

Beginning this March, the City of La Vista will be conducting its next survey of residents.

The National Community Survey, conducted by the company Polco, will begin data collection on March 1. At that time all households randomly selected to participate will receive an invitation postcard with a link to the survey. A week later these same households will receive a paper survey in the mail, which can be used in lieu of the online survey if desired.

An open participation period will take place between March 29 and April 12, which will allow anyone in the community to participate in this survey.

Data collection will be complete by April 12 and the City will have a report of results by this summer.

For more information on the survey, contact Communication Manager Mitch Beaumont at City Hall, 402.593.6410, or via e-mail.

The National Community Survey (formerly the National Citizen Survey) is integral to the City’s strategic planning process. The survey allows City leaders to assess the satisfaction of residents as it relates to core municipal services.

The collected data informs decisions of programming, budgeting and capital allocation, and community engagement.

The City’s has previously conducted surveys in 2008, 2013, 2016 and 2019 (PDF)
