What is the status of the City's upcoming special events?

The holidays are here. Bring on the cheer!

We’re still monitoring the pandemic and adjusting plans accordingly. Follow us on social media and for updates and more information!

SANTA’S SLEIGH RIDE

Guess who’s coming to town... again? Give Santa a wave as he cruises around town to kick off the holidays in La Vista. November 29

TREE LIGHTING (FACEBOOK LIVE)

Tune in on Facebook and watch Santa as he lights the tree and sprinkles it with some Christmas magic. November 30

WALKIN’ IN LA VISTA WONDERLAND

We’re turning Civic Center Park into a Winter Wonderland filled with holiday cutouts, Santa’s sleigh, light decorations and more, which you can enjoy at your leisure throughout the month of December. On December 8 and 15, Santa and his reindeer will be there too! Please note: If Governor Ricketts declares more stringent health measures that limit outdoor gatherings, the December 8 and 15 events will be cancelled.

LETTERS TO SANTA

We’re setting up a special mailbox to send letters directly to the North Pole. Drop ‘em off by December 15 to get a reply from Santa by Christmas. November 9 — December 15

LIGHT UP THE NIGHT

Channel your inner Clark Griswold and decorate a window in your house/apartment. Share your display and the best one will receive a special prize. November 9 — December 15

VIRTUAL HOLIDAY STORYTIMES

Gather round your screen as we read some of our favorite holiday books. Throughout December
