Central Park was created after a redesign of the La Vista Falls Municipal Golf Course. As the largest open area park in the city, it is a perfect space for outdoor activities of all kinds from walking and running, to playing games, or simply enjoying some peaceful time outdoors.
Featuring a pond with a boardwalk, a trail loop around the park, and plenty of seating throughout, Central Park is a great place to spend time outdoors. Located on the east side of 84th Street, the park serves as a connecting space between City Centre and the Astro and the rest of the 84th Street corridor.
The park also features the Central Park Clubhouse on the north side, The Link and Nines Plaza on the south side. The Clubhouse which was originally the clubhouse for the golf course, has been repurposed and redesigned as an event space. It is available for city activities as well as an event rental space for the public.
