Here is your update as of April 19:

The replacement of the sewer main on S. 71st St. is beginning today, so the westbound lane of Florence St. at S 71^st St. will be closed. Additionally, S. 71^st St. will be closed to through traffic from Florence north to the driveways of house numbers 7344 and 7345 (please see the map below). The contractor will be working tomorrow on this segment and potentially the next several Saturdays. Individual service lateral repair work will be completed as the contractor progresses up the roadway. 

During this process S. 71^st St. will be closed to through traffic for approximately three weeks. Disruptions to driveway access will be minimized as much as feasibly possible. 

We are also anticipating the reinstallation of pavement on Florence on Monday as well as one side of the road on Edna St.
