You are invited to the first-ever “I Love La Vista Celebration” at Judson Baptist Church, 8517 Park View Blvd, on Sunday, August 29.

The day will begin at 11 a.m. with a special appreciation ceremony for city employees and others who work hard to make La Vista successful.

The rest of the day, until 3 p.m., there will be face painting, a bounce house and waterslide, family picnic, pie eating contest and more.
